Our Philosophy
At Ascend Applied Behavior Analysis, our philosophy for providing ABA therapy to autistic individuals in New York City centers on compassionate care and cultural respect. Mission and Values
The mission and values of Ascend ABA are to foster a stimulating and nurturing environment where children of all abilities, irrespective of socio-economic or cultural background, can grow and learn together in acceptance of one another. We aim to empower autistic individuals aged 3 to 21 in Queens County and surrounding areas, offering early intervention and continuous support through their developmental stages. At Ascend, we equip these individuals with the skills and confidence necessary to live independently and achieve personal goals.
Our Approach
We are client-centered, emphasizing each individual's dignity and striving to enhance their quality of life through family guidance, respect for individual differences, and celebration of diversity. Ascend ABA's therapy plans are personalized, based on each client's unique strengths, challenges, cultural background, and learning style, ensuring no "one-size-fits-all" approach.
We maintain high ethical standards and provide compassionate, culturally-responsive, and data-driven Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. Our Registered Behavior Technicians collaborate closely with families, schools, and community resources to develop comprehensive, individualized plans that support consistent learning and growth across all environments. This collaborative process fosters empathy, understanding, and respect. It is grounded in the scientifically validated principles of ABA, proven to help individuals with autism reach their full potential in communication, social interaction, daily living skills, and emotional regulation.
CHERRY ANN CHISHTI, BCBA,LBA Clinical Director / CEO
Ascend Applied Behavior Analysis, led by Clinical Director and CEO Cherry Ann Chishti, provides accessible applied behavior analysis (ABA) services to families and children with autism and neurodevelopmental disabilities in New York City. With over 20 years of experience in special education, Cherry is a licensed behavior analyst, board-certified behavior analyst, certified special education teacher, and nationally certified school psychologist. Her mission is to improve these families' quality of life through evidence-based ABA techniques. Under her leadership, Ascend ABA has become a beacon of support, empowering families and children with the tools they need to thrive.
MOHAMMED CHISHTI, CPA,MBA CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER CFO
Mohammed Chishti, CPA, is a distinguished Certified Public Accountant with an MBA in Health Service Administration and the CEO of Chishti CPA PC. With a strong focus on providing comprehensive accounting and tax services, he helps businesses navigate financial complexities while optimizing performance. Additionally, as an adjunct professor at Queensborough Community College, Mohammed shares his expertise in accounting and financial management, mentoring the next generation of professionals. A proud member of the American Bangladeshi community, he is deeply committed to promoting financial literacy and community engagement through various initiatives.
